I struggle to talk about my photography.

One of my favorite quotes about art, given by David Lynch: “As soon as you finish a film, people want you to talk about it; the film IS the talking.” In that spirit, I’ve striven to encapsulate as much of myself into these images as possible, with the hopes they can convey something that my written word cannot.

Collected over the past year, these are my attempts to transform the world around me into something new. Mostly taken in Washington, DC, these black and white images represent the surrealism and humor I’ve discovered during my first year of street shooting.
